I find inspiration for my knife designs and knife names everywhere I travel and the experiences in life that I have had and continue to have. This little Skinner is no exception... Black Diamond was a buffalo or North American bison, housed at Central Park Menagerie (Central Park Zoo); according to legend, it was the model for the US buffalo nickel coin introduced in 1913, designed and sculpted by American sculptor James Earle Fraser in 1911...James Earl Fraser was a distant relative to my Stepfather~ George Fraser. All my knives have names with substance and deeper meaning. I’ve deliberately not put any handle material on these due to the unique and Awesome design that has been created with high heat and heat treat of each individual knife. Each a one of a kind. Soft and solid feeling in hand with the only sharp edge being the cutting edge. There won’t be lots of these made, if your lucky enough to have one I hope you enjoy her as much as I have making her. Thanks~David M. 🤘🏻🇺🇸 **Each Black Diamond comes with a handmade custom sheath and is embellished with a Buffalo Nickel concha.**
